Thanks to DIRT the results are in for the last two rounds. Standings are as follows:

Next downhill race - check out your calendar but Sunday 29th August sounds familiar.......venue to be advised!
I do have results and stuff for races and the season standings etc, but won't be posting them on this site.....that's for the 'official' web monkeys to sort out. Sorry. (looks like there are more gaps on their results schedule than beans in a tin of Heinz baked specials!)
Got an iphone/ipad/ipod touch? STEVE PEAT has released a downhill racing app - go to usual Itunes site for your download, it's not bad at all.
Might need a rant on elitism and racing in the future methinks.....any suggestions? Email in the usual place.

Firstly: WORLD CUP DOWNHILL this weekend, finally the season starts to get interesting. Maribor should be a nice start, hopefully Peaty nails it and doesn't crash like he did in Lisbon last weekend! The 4x track has been tinkered with and according to some riders 'is gonna be interesting'. Commentary won't include Warner as he's out in Egypt for the Red Bull X Fighter event. Did you get your fantasy DH teams entered in time? Who's favourite for the win.....my money is not on Barel now! Broken femur.......ouch. Rachel Atherton is 'well happy' to be in the same Red Bull magazine as Seb Vettel but miffed that he beat her to the cover shoot. She's also moaning she has to MTFU for the weekend. Hans Rey, big mate of Peaty and others, has just had another adventure with Brian Lopes and a trials session with Danny Macaskill - clips from both are out there. It's also now Rattlesnake season out in Laguna according to Lopes, so be careful out there.....erm nice....there appears to be a video of Miley Cyrus lapdancing doing the rounds too.
Locally: XC race at Pleinmont this weekend, which without the MX track might make it difficult for the hard working team to make interesting, so give em some support and don't criticise unless you can do better, in which case lend a hand instead. Bluebells are out in the woods, so don't wreck em, ride somewhere else, use your brains eh! Commonwealth games team has been announced, but as it's all roadies.....are we 'that' interested? (good luck anyway) Liberation day (or Re-Occupation day if you're a proper Guern) has been and gone....any bike related stories you want to share? In fact ANY stories you want to share about anything then email me and I'll post em up.
International: Jim? Dan? Anyone else? Where are you guys and what're you up to? Whistler boys too, any updates then drop us a line!
Random: Decline magazine (US version of Dirt) is now available from Chainreactioncycles, New ManitouR7 forks look the dogs danglies along with the rest of their new line up, new Transition range looks awesome too.

There was a Downhill race recently, but due to some unknown reason the results and write up have yet to make it to the official site. So, what can we tell you........well it was won by a chap on a well known but (still) uncommon (in Guernsey) bike in a time that was much quicker than the chap in second place. The turnout was excellent, and more people are encouraged to join in next time (30th May) or if you can't take the wait you could go all XC and get fitter for the next DH at a local race near you (16th May)!

After joining the Trialtech team last year, we have been amazed at the level of Matt’s riding, his motivation and his drive to inspire others.
